PARADE is part of an on-going series of paintings that seek to explore ideas around the unfixed and fluid nature of ones identity. Areas of poured paint swim in and out of chalk outlines, with thick clumsy areas of oil bar trying and failing to hold all the different elements together. This is mirroring the way in which one can feel as though they are bursting out of their own seams, not quite fitting yourself.
